Hey everyone,

I have a Bredli carpet python female, roughly 14-16 months of age, nearly 400 grams and nearly 4 foot long. She is being fed small rats and is quickly getting bigger, my main question is when should I start feeding her less frequently then every week? I don't want to over feed her and she isn't for breeding.

Thank you in advance, much appreciated.

Could probably go every 2 weeks, but seeing as she still kinda young just feed her once a week.

And shes still growing if shes only just over a year old.

How does she presently tell you she is hungry?
She never refuses a feed and loves her food. She never really gets to a point where she shows me thats she's hungry because she rarely is apart from after a shed, but I do notice that she will start coming to the doors of her tank and look out whether thats her looking for food I'm not sure.

When would you recommend that I start feeding her less frequently?

Maybe around 2 years when her growth slows down..it also depends on how much exercise she gets aswell
