I haven't posted in awhile, but thought I'd share a couple of snaps I took yesterday. I haven't taken any photos of RSP's before, but this ended up a fairly productive...and interesting session. I had two of them on the go, but the boy decided he'd had enough of me. Love the teeth on these guys!

There's an additional photo down the bottom in attachments but didn't link it.

Feel free to add to this thread ;)

Been bitten by a RSP, I can vouch for it.

It hurts. That's all I can say for the record.

They are worse than a bite from a Woma, that's for sure.
Their teeth dig quite a bit deeper, and seem to draw a lot more blood, so that would explain it.
Their teeth also have a slicing mechanism which were designed to cleanly sink into feathers of their prey and get to the flesh within.
They're primarily bird eaters, no doubt about it.
It's not quite as painful as a full sized diamond though, but it's very messy.

But I've only been bitten rarely.

Have you ever been bitten by a croc before?, Because i have from a 60 - 75cm (roughly) fresh water one. And man-o-man do they hurt!
