so I've been considering getting a mertens. now i got told that somewhere around 80% water or more is a good ratio. so i have a large ring of corrugated iron but i was having a think and believe i have a better idea. i was thinking that if i got a 2.4 metreish water tank chop the top off. and then put something like a small bath or water trough then filling the bath/trough with rocks and dirt and logs etc so it was like an island and then have the water tank filled with water to the height of island.
any thoughts ?? my only issue is that it may be difficult for myself to get in and out of such enclosure.
