My female BLack Headed Python has been acting odd over the last few months. She tends to rub head on tank glass and through substrate. Despite not being able to see mites or parasites I have treated tank twice with top of descent and followed procedures on can. She settles for a few weeks then starts again. She is not gravid but will often lay on her side when she goes through the rubbing phase and also after feeding. Despite increasing feeding she also doesn't appear visually to hold body condition and appears to be a little underweight visually unlike my male who gains weight easily. I have considered the possibility of worms and was curious as to whether they are blatantly obvious in faeces when spot cleaning or should I break some apart to rule out? If worms are present what is a tried and tested form of treatment?
