Good morning!

I've noticed that my Centralian Python gets beautiful blue eyes around 36 hours before he sheds.

I've always thought this was normal, just wanted to confirm with some more knowledgable herp people that he isn't trying to tell me something about his conditions/enclosure. He's about 16 months old and has never had any issues shedding/eating/handling etc.

Have a look at the pic and let me know what you think?

Cheers,

That photo was almost two days ago and he's really cranky this morning (had a bit of a snap in my direction for the first time since he was a hatchling). He looks like he has some dried skin about halfway down his body.

I've been giving him some repti-mist every 8-12 hours to try to encourage the shed, not sure what else I should be doing here.

peperfectly normal. The eyes change colour as they are about to shed. Once the eyes go back to clear, the shedding will commence shortly after.
