I suppose I just looked at their geographic range and assumed that they spent a lot of their time on the floors of the daintree, but I looked at a couple of setups and they don't seem to incorporate many rainforesty aspects. Thoughts?

Normally found in dryer forest or rocky areas. I personally do not recall finding any in rainforests, although some might be found there. If they are, they are not in big numbers

I'd go as far to say about 90% of enclosures do not represent the snakes natural habitat.
Most times it's just not practical or feasable.

See tons of them in rainforest habitat living in FNQ. The more 'blonde' ones are usually found in the dryer rocky areas up here, and the darker brown spotteds are common in the rainforest.
