SO I have been hard pressed to find info on cooling these snakes, except for turn off night time heat during winter, and even the complete carpet python and the guide to aussie pythons doesnt go into detail. I wanted to know what other people do and also whether people continue feeding or whether they stop feeding them during this period.

I stop feeding a fortnight before I stop night heating, allows any food to be fully digested. For me it was a matter of putting them together and leaving them that way for the next 2-3months (I was told this by someone who had previously bred rough scales not to keep putting them in and out and it worked for me) I never actually saw them copulating but ended up with 17 perfect eggs. I usually start putting them together when the temperature really drops around the start of June.
