Some of My Coastal Taipans ( O.scutellatus). They are by far my Favourite snake to keep. Feel free to post pictures of yours.

Lovely snakes Luke! I love coastal taipans and I am super jealous!
They're beautiful.
Do you breed these guys or just keep them?

If all goes to plan i should have some Cooktown Local's available later in the year... However im not going to count my eggs until they hatch. Next Year i should have some tully's aswell.

They command a huge amount of respect, more than keeping any other snake. They have good days and bad days and can be a real handful at times. However if you can see past that they are an interesting snake to work with. I am lucky to have a few different localities to work with over the next few years.

There are times when you open the tub and times when you don't..... Taipans have a very intense feeding response that makes them Extremely Dangerous when they smell food.... Enough to make even the most experienced keeper pucker up :)
