Hi just hoping someone on here can help me ID this bird that is nesting in a tree next to our house. You can see two babies heads at the front.

The photo is taken at night so the flash is on which lightens the bird up. It does appear darker in colour with a wide yellow beak.

Location in Blaxland in the Blue Mountains.

The photo is on its side for some reason, sorry. If it's too hard to see I will try and spin it.

It looks like a female european blackbird which are fairly common down your way. Males are black and females are brown.

Great thanks for the reply. I wondered why at times the bird seemed black and other times brown I just thought it might have been the flash.
