Does anyone ever bother about how their money is invested? I just watched a program about how a doctor is trying to discourage super funds from investing in tobacco industry as she is an oncologist. I wonder how many others bother about where/how their super is invested, or if they even know?

All my shares are invested in ethical companies - takes some work do to the extra background research

Some of the super funds give you a choice of how to invest your money.
yes but apparently the default position is towards non ethical investments so you need to ask the question and make the choice.

I have options on mine but none of those give me any confidence in whether the investment is ethical or not. Its a good point you raise Wokka, I would guess that most people would have little idea about their investments.
Even a simple conversation about ethics is often difficult.

Since I switched to ethical super investments I have actually made more money (last two years) then I did previously.
