Hello, my names Hayden I'm from NSW and I'm a relatively new snake keeper. I have 2 snakes. The first snake I got a few months ago and his names Seth. His a 2 year old male Darwin carpet python, a little over a meter long. My second snake is also a carpet python named Carlos.Though I was not told his subspecies I'm guessing he/she (hasn't been sexed)is a SW carpet, but who knows. Carlos is 5 months old and around 40cm long. Let us know what yous think about my snakes, thanks!

Hi Hayden, welcome to APS! That's a very nice Darwin you have there, and I have to say it's a pleasure to see a snake that is pretty obviously a top-end Carpet without anything "added". The other youngster, as I've said elsewhere, is a dead ringer for a SW Carpet. I bred dozens of them when I was in WA, so I'm pretty familiar with the subspecies. I'm sure you'll enjoy them for many years - both varieties are pretty bullet-proof if you look after them well, so they make great beginner snakes.

Hey mate. Love the Darwin. I agree with Jamie, nice to see a run of the mill Darwin carpet
