Very pretty. I like what you've done with the ag drain also!

It adds diversity in the hiding spots. The scalaris love them more than other hollows. I have them in about 80cm lengths and screw them in straight either vert or hori. Most monitors are fans. A semi recent experiment has been to coat them in some background clay stuff so they cant see through it.
 
I use them as buried tunnel networks for mine... Been thinking of using them as hollow tree boughs, attached to a heavy gauge wire armature to keep desired shape, wrap in gauze or similar and coat in painted grout. Similar line of thought to what you've done.
