hi today me and some of my family went to bents basin its a big swimming hole and we sore a green tree snake it was like 3ft from us and we also found a ewd just a little guy and about 20 water skinks but i was just wondering are green trre snkaes dangerous or and venom at all

thanks

Why would you have picked it up otherwise? Might have chewed on your hand a bit that's all.
hhahaha no m8 i didnt touch it i wasnt touching it if i didnt no if it was dangerous but it was so beautiful

Aren't they venomous? They have rear fangs and "chew" the venom into you, but they won't make you sick much at all ^_^

Common tree snake (Dendelaphis punctuta) is harmless and has no fangs. The brown tree snake (Bioga irregularis) is mildly venomous and has rear fangs. Snakes in the family Colubridae (called colubrids) don't have front fangs but can have rear fangs. All Australian colbrid snakes are generally considered harmless. Colubrids are mostly found overseas, and some foreign ones can be dangerous.

A water dragon is a much more dangerous animal than a common tree snake.

I got chomped by a water dragon once too. Bad bite to the bone, and the surrounding tissue was mashed. Gimme a tree snake bite any day.
