OWe have a pair of central bearded dragons, or female appears to be gravid. Should we separate the pair? ATM, we are using kritter crumble as substrate, is this ok when eggs are laid, or does it absorb moisture from eggs? If it's not suitable, what are you guys using? Anything other advise will be appreciated, we haven't bred any of our reptiles, and if she does lay eggs, we want to give them the best chance we can give them.

With thanks.

She'll want a sand/soil type substrate to lay in. And yes, separate her from the male as he will continually mate with her regardless of whether she is gravid or not. She most likely won't want to lay with him around either.
