I'm looking at building a new rack setup. Basically a series of 20 to 30 different sized boxes which would hold tightly fitting plastic tubs with lids. I'll probably route channels in the floor and heat with heat cord. Still trying to figure it all out. The enclosures will be used for snakes of unknown species and size. Anything from CCP's, Brown Tree Snakes, Dwarf Crown Snakes, Eastern Browns, Rough-Scaled Snakes, etc. Safety and hygiene are my biggest concerns.

I thinking about using chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) sheets and will heat weld the seams so that nothing can get in the gaps. I want something that can get really wet, so I can disinfect them regularly and to be able to get rid of the gaps so no nasties can hide in there. I'm still not sure if the additional expense is worth it but I want these to last. My melamine enclosures are falling apart after getting wet to many times.

Does anyone have any experience using CPVC for enclosures/racks? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
