hey all i am a bit confused about the licensing system in NSW

i understand 2 years and then 18 years old... and u can get one but,

does the 2 years mean 2 years keeping reptiles in general or 2 years on a specific thing ie: pythons

for example if i keptd pythons for 2 years and went to get my class two to get a mertens monitor, would it be allowed? or would i need 2 years experience with monitors aswell?

i hope people understand what im saying! lol
been annoying me for ages now!

as of late you need to keep the class 1 group for 2 yrs before you get get class 2 species from that group. So no after keeping pythons for 2 yrs you couldnt get a mertens.

i think when you go for your class 2 license you have to right a letter telling them y you should be eligble to keep endangerd or rare or hard to keep reptiles and yeah it goes for any reptile snake or monitor

It means 2 years on a specific thing ie: pythons

Your class 2 will only be endorsed for the types of animals that you have kept for a period of 2 years.

balls i gotta get a monitor then... *sigh*

Thats one of the reasons why i got my ackies.
Sorry to pinch the thread but after 2 years of keeping theese monitors would i say be able to go for class2 and get a frilled neck???? or do i need experience with a dragon for that?

Cheers,
Matt

im guessing because frill necks are "dragons" u will need 2 years more experience with a dragon :( poor u

spencers and mertens are my two fav mons and there both class 2 :( gunna have to get a monitor, so probs gilleni, but to be honest im more a fan of the bigger ones, would be fun to watch a dinosour wander around lol!

just curious when people say "handle" there monitors, how do u handle a 2 metre lacie? lol or do u just let em explore around the house?
