How do I start?

Hey, I've been looking at getting a snake or two for ages, just your regular carpet pythons, maybe the ones from the Murray Darling region, and I was wondering what sort of equipment and everything I need to know, before I start, only thing I know is about needing a license :?

sorry to say, in perth you cant get a murray darling carpet. you can have a south west carpet or a stimsons. WA wont let you import reptiles from outside the state.

So what does an enclosure need to be made out of initially, like what material, is glass good, I hear it scratches quite easily though =S

I thought WA wasn't allowed to have any carpet pythons and don't they have restrictions on importing from other states?
