I recently got these bowls for my little monitors. So far they work fantastically and I've had no escapees. Normally the monitors jump in and grab one then run back to their rock to bash the roaches into submission but today this guy decided it was much more efficient to just stay in there and demolish them one at a time. It was like watching a massacre!

the $2 metal dog bowls from crazys work for crickets and roaches they cant grip onto it so cant climb or jump out.

Cheers Sam yeah I love them. This one even takes food from my hands now (although he tries to eat my fingers instead when I try to feed him woodies).

That's heaps good mate! They're pretty ravenous feeders once they settle in.

Mine's still wary of me but allows me to hand & tong feed + spot clean and refill the water bowl without running away - Patience is key
