hey does anyone no what size enclosure a full grown murray darling carpet python needs?
thanx:D

Possibly the size of a large wardrobe. Roughly 1200-1800 high, 800 wide and 600 deep is what i would aim at for carpets.. But someone may say otherwise...

I have my young boy (now 18months), in an enclosure that is 100cm tall x 80cm long x 60cm deep with plenty of branches for climbing. I was told by the breeder that I got him off, that it was sufficent for one adult MD. I was told that the ideal size of the enclosure was to be a minimum of half the average length of the adult python, being a climbing snake that was in the height of the enclosure rather than the length. Others may have different opinions, but that was what I was told. I hope that helps. :)

There are minimum size guidelines (1m x 1m x .5m is common), but they have more space than that in the wild and may manage with less as long as the setup is good. I've got mine in an enclosure 1 m wide, 1.5 m tall, .6m deep. This was largely determined by the melamine sizes when I built it. There are a couple of shelves and branches to bask on, but I note that he prefers the latter. Some of my other snakes prefer shelves, so I think it's important to have variety.

i read on google 90cmx45cmx45cm but that sounds to small do u agree

i would never put an MD in a 90cmx45x45cm, dodgy info their i think :)
