Here's a few of my latest addition, another Lacie, this time a Gippsland (Mallacoota locale) animal. Unusual in that it's not hiding all the time in my presence for such a tiny thing. Thanks again Trent (and Adam).

Nice yeah you dont often see a little lacie there such shy timid little creatures

Haha, looking really good Richard - that lack of shyness comes from temporarily being raised in the living room I think ;) Mine's heading much the same way.

At some point you need to try and get a pic under the UV lights, to show off the intense blues!

Thanks All, much appreciated:)! As you can probably telll, I'm stoked as well:),:)!!

Very nice mate. Do you keep any other types?

Only Lacies Steve, what else is there:)! I have a female Bell's, a female Sydney phase (one of crocdoc's stunning beasties) and now a Gippie.

Thanks mate :),:)!! A pic under the UV is def on the cards. The blues and yellows on this little animal are so intense. It's so bold, shuttling between the hot spot and bouts of exploring, I may be able to tong feed tommorrow?! My bet at this stage is male??

how long and how old is this little guy?

A few weeks and under 300mm, at a guess. That's why I find the boldness so amazing. It's carrying on like a mature Ackie!

Looks good, Richard!

If it's still the first day in your place, don't get your hopes up too high that it will stay bold. They always seem much bolder than they are on the first day, as they haven't figured out where everything is yet (particularly hide spots) and nothing smells familiar. It's usually day two or three that they disappear.

On the other hand, I have a littlie here (one of Trent's babies) that takes food from forceps daily and doesn't seem overly bothered by my presence, so one never knows.

Thanks David:)! Spot on, first full day in the enclosure, that's why I thought I'd get some pics before I'm staring at an empty cage for the next six months and the only interaction I have is replacing the food bowl:)!

Here's hoping it stays bold, I think there must be something in the water at Trent's place:)!!

Feel free to add any pics of new babies (as long as they're Lacies) if anyone feels so inclined (or has the time).

My lacies allways hiding . But his starting to be a little bit more social ... But not to much lol

Thanks Serp,

I've always liked the big Gippie animals, I just had no idea anyone was breeding them. They just seem to be more robust than some other varieties (perhaps enhanced by their overall blacker colouration). I love the big, boofy heads, always conjurs up images of V. Prisca.
