Got this big guy in the DECC ballot last week. I got him checked by a specialist vet who used the term pin-headed with reference to his size. I thought he was a bit heavy, but not pin-headed. He is 1.25 kg and 1.4 m long (1.32 m SVL). Very healthy except for some worms which I'm treating. We think he's about 2, because he probes male (16 subcaudals), but no sign of sperm production and I think he's got room to grow in length. Any opinions?

I haven't gotten him out of his quarantine enclosure for photos, so you have to use your imagination.

Pin headed??? His head looks like it's in proportion to his body to me. I thought pin head syndrome was when a snake grows so quickly that its head is small in relation to its body.

Personally, if he was a breeding female, I wouldn't think he was too big - enough fat to produce a good clutch without losing too much condition. I think he's a bit of a tubster for a boy, however.

Nice, what's Pin headed? Does that mean it's got a small head, look porportonate to me.
BTW What's the DEECC ballot?

What species?
He's a Murray-Darling (= Inland carpet). Keep an eye on General Herps if you are a NSW keeper, because you can enter a lottery to win animals that need a licensed home. This fellow was turned in to the RSPCA in Yagoona. Because he's not a native of Sydney and is of unknown origin, DECC rehomed him and I got lucky!

!

i would say my girl is more pinhead and on the obese size judging the size of her head. Your boy is very beautiful

Well done...I was hoping to score that one as well....he looks great..:)
Definately not pin headed....A lot of murrays have smaller heads compared to their size naturally but he has a large head.

He looks a lot older than 2 years as well, do you have a girl for him?

peow 26 up, 3 down Used as onomatopoeia to discribe the motion of sexual intercourse. Or to say you would like to have *** with someone. Usually used in conjunction with a thrusting motion of the pelvis. Most commonly used in New Zealand after featuring on a local cartoon series.
"I took her home for a little 'peow peow.'

well being the fact that Jarden is from the land of the long white sheeeeeeeeeeeeep I say this one is correct:)

I thinking he was trying to make gun firing noises, in regards to the shooting blanks comment.

huh? not really sure what this post is about or even if it relates to this thread??

peow? peow? whats that?

I looked it up on urban dictionary and I guess meaning number 4 is what was meant :D

:rolleyes::lol: Nice work Colin.

In the 1st pic it looks as if the left eye is ontop of the head. Just the pattern as the 2nd pic shows:rolleyes:

Doesn't look pin-headed at all to me...
And I've heard that it is a myth anyway...

I find it stranger that there was no trace of sperm... in a 2 year old of that size...
