Sorry cant get the pic any bigger

omg, i know this has probably been said before, buy i fully said in my head before a rough scaled snake. I truly did.... i finally got one right :)

I think it's a Rough-scaled Snake (Tropidechis carinatus) and it's potentially very dangerous!

I'm basing this on the fact that it doesn't look like it has a loreal scale, which the only other snake that looks like this has (Keelback).

Thanks guys and yea lucky i had my snake hook with me :p and wow i didnt know i got them up here where i live ( Springbrook )

My pleasure. So you found it near Springbrook then I assume.
Can you tell us more about the specimen and the circumstances in which you found it please?
e.g Was it found near water and was it active when first seen or found under cover?
Also was it found by day or night?

P.S - Did you know that you have your PM function disabled? I'm guessing you don't because your ad says send me a PM.
I was going to PM you these Q's but couldn't.

Bushman - Yeah thanks i just realised i had it disabled its back up now and yes i live on Springbrook mountain and its a first time find for me :) and i found it along a bushwalk trail up here at night after rain had finished and it was about 300m between to waterfalls the ground was very wet and slippy it was only about 30cm and it was roaming around on the track when i got up close it didnt mind me at all i used my hook to get it away from a hole and then it curled up under a leaf about 15cm long so i removed the leaf with a stick and it just sat there curled up for a few mins while i took like 100 photo's of it on my camera :p im photo happy love my nikon anything else you wanna know ask and ill answer :)

Thanks for the field notes. Do you mind if I add them and the pic to my database?
I'll send you a PM.
