My bredli, Diablo, will strike like mad at anyone but me. My boyfriend and conducted an experiment, I was just getting Diablo out of his enclosure and the boy (James) walked in. The moment he was in the room Diablo s-bent and posed right towards James, but payed no attention to me as I stroked his sides. The moment James walked out, Diablo started to act normal. The moment he'd walk in, agression... moment he left, fine... this went on for a while.

Finally I thought, ah yeah, he's nervy about a second person and instructed James to sit where I was and I left the room and stood around a corner where Diab couldn't see me. James told me the whole time Diablo was arked up and ready to strike, as soon as I entered the room he looked at me and straight back to James and arked up again... I could touch him and stroke him and he'd pay no attention.

Interesting, eh? We tried with glass door open and closed on the enclosure to see if it was scent related... but nope... I thought it was James' obnoxious shirt so I put my jacket on him (which also had my scent) and nope, still after James. Diablo hates James... whether that's personality or not I dunno, but he's funny around certain people.
lol........my bearded dragons have "personalities" one of them is fairly active in the cage, but completely hand tame and lazy out , the other is fairly lazy in cage and psycho out, running, jumping, tasting everything..
also the first one i mentioned(sasquatch) doesn't like one of my sisters or my mum, hes(i think its a he) fine with me and sister #2 but hates the others, he even displays and blackens his beard and opens his mouth, when my older sister (#1) tries to pick him up, but hes fine with sis #2......

Hungry, angry, and warm are personality, right?

I certainly think that they are capable of being individualistic, as others have said. I think the running trend of people's snakes being most comfortable with them is probably mostly conditioning - you probably handle them the most, they have learnt your scent, and don't see you as a threat. I don't really think this counts. But I do think that snake's are perfectly capable of having a different "personality" from another snake - it might not be personality based on all the same traits we would judge a human on, but the varying characteristics of curiosity, defensiveness, aggression, tolerance, etc. can all be added up and called "snake personality". JMO.

now know male spotted dose not like men at all he goes them straight off the bat, but when its a chick he is as sweet as every

My Male woma is a champion.. Drop him lob him or tread on him and he looks at you like your an ***** and keeps on crawling.

My woma is a real "puppy-dog". She will crawl all over my lap and when she is warm and comfortable she will rest her head on me and look up at me with those big black eyes - it is beautiful. If snakes could sigh I am sure she would as she was doing it...

That's my favourite part, when they do adorable things like that and they're so perfectly calm. :)

Agree 100% :)

yep they have personalities !

my big coastal hates not being let out every weekend to roam the house !

its personality is great shes a big sook ! loves cuddles and hates being left alone !

recently i posted a story in a thread about a bredli i had in the lounge room next to my TV , she would get all the attention she wanted everybody would come over and have a chat with her and she would wake from her slumber and come alive to great them and watch tv ( or in that direction ) . i got a bigger Tv ( massive TV ) and i had to move her to the back of the room unfortnatunately we would have our backs to her on our lounge , well did she sook she went into a depressive state, she realy liked all the attention she was getting before she felt like part of the family. then once i moved her she then lost intrest in us and detatched.
i have notice all mine have personalities.

i have eastern water dragons and when i fall asleep on the lounge the male starts banging on the glass to get my attention but instantly stops when i look at him as if he just wants to wake me, this happens all the time only when i doze off or i wake to him doing it he doesnt do it when i am ever awake watching him , only when he doesnt receive the attention , i let him out to on the weekends and he runs around teling us he's the boss with his head bobing so one day i intentionly ignored him turned my back to him he came right to me the closest hes ever been in my face and displayed ( a male look at me ) threat !

my black headed python strikes at the glass and hisses when other people look into her enclosure but she doesnt do it with me, when we are out in the sun she curls up in my hand with her head poking up to the sun and she just chills.
