No.. All reptiles can be kept on the same licence, Unless it's inland I think and it says you need a scientific permit.. 4 years old.. That's kind of out of date, considering theirs probably new laws every 1 to 2 years
nah scientific permit is only needed to collet on reserved land or national parks, the only law change in qld that i know of in the past 4 years was to allow petstores to sell herps, 4 years isnt really that out of date
I was directing the 4 year comment for Tasmania.. As they're bringing out a new law in the near future that certain species will be abllowe to be imported into Tasmania.
I may be weird but how else did other people get their love of reptiles? the first python i evr caught i stil have! i started on blue tonguesand went to red bellies. I still have three animals i caught from the wild! How ever that was what the amnesty was for. But for kids thats how they find out they like reptiles- go catch them! commonly found reptiles are common and a couple of kids catching a couple of blueys for a couple of days is not going to endanger the species and may spark a life long love! just my opinion
as a kid i was always catching lizards and keeping them for a while i didnt know u needed a licence and i wasnt like i wasnt feeding them and stuff i fed them all the time i can still remember the 1st blue tongue i caught i named it pikachu...........those were the days lol
