Hi all, im in the middle of building another enclosure, im thinking of house 3 2ft glass tanks on the top shelf which are going to house my geckoes (levis levis). They will have heatmats under them, placed under the tank on the melamine. Will it be ok on the melamine?

The top will have rectangular cutouts, where flyscreen or something will be over the top to provide ventilation.

Second shelf will be bearded dragons, the 4ft section will house my two females.

The 3ft or a bit bigger section will house a single male bearded dragon.'
I put the basking spots on opposite sides so they dont heat the cool end of the 3ft section?

Bottom shelf will just be for storage etc.

Will the top shelf be all good? Heatmats etc? Im wanting to do this soon and was seeing what other people think about my idea. Makes it easier for me to have some of my herps in one unit.

I want opinions and any advice as to what will work or what wont.

Thanks.

i would think the heat from the lights would be enough, or even too much heat going up into the gex tanks.
something to think about.

The lights in the bearded dragon section would be 35cn, since the height is about 45cm top to bottom.

bfg23: I can only try, im not too sure about how warm it will get, since it will go through melamine, then through the glass tank, then the sand(4-5cm deep).

Will melamine be ok with a heatmat on it?

Thanks.
