Hello all,

Over the last few days I've noticed some interesting behaviour in my python who turned 2 in January. He's a children's python (Stimsons) who doesn't mind a bit of climbing here and there. Anyway, the last few days he is non stop climbing and moving all around the enclosure. It seems like he's looking for a way out. I wondered if he might be looking for a suitable area to go into a bit of a brumation as we've had a cooler change here in Qld. I thought perhaps he was hungry as he had a big shed a week ago but he was not interested. Then I thought maybe he just suddenly hates his enclosure and wants out or has grown too big for it.

Has anyone dealt with this before? It's not the usual explore at night, it just seems constant. Is he looking for a mate? Will he settle? Thanks experienced peeps šŸ˜Š

Wondering if anyone can shed some light on this? He's still very active, not interested in eating, last ate in February. Housing and temps is all the same as its been for quite some time. I'm a bit stumped. I am wondering if he is outgrowing his home. It's only 60 x60 x45 and he is probably around 85 long. I am reluctant to rehouse him in something bigger with winter just around the corner though. Would love some perspective on this if anyone can help
