hi all
i just love the look of lots of peoples MD's thay are awsome!
and i was wondering if people could tell me some answers to my questions?
1:are MD's violent?
2:are they good feeders?
3:are they good pets?
4:how big do they get?
5:what are peoples oppinions of them?

thats about it!

1 - MD's are not usually agressive.
2 - most are good feeders but i have come across the odd fussy hatchy.
3 - I think they make as good a pet as any snake.
4 - approx 2m or there abouts.
5- I have found them to be a very easy python to keep and would recomend them as a first snake.

Agree with all the above!
I have a fussy eater, will not strike food. Is extremely shy but has a very shy, quiet nature!

Hi Hydro, I have a 18 month old MD Oscar. He is a brilliant feeder, not one problem ever. I can swap from rats to mice with no issues. Always takes his food within a few seconds. He is approx 5 feet. Has never bitten or even struck. I would highly recommend a MD as a first snake. I will be posting some photos soon.

I have a 4 month old girl and she only gets snappy when she's hungry. I handle her almost everyday (though not for very long as she is only young) and she has a great temperament.

1:are MD's violent? Mine is, but only in his enclosure. Once out he's a teddy bear.
2:are they good feeders? They eat most like any other snake
3:are they good pets? He's always moving around at night once the house lights go off and make for good observations
4:how big do they get? As above post
5:what are peoples oppinions of them? Fantastic colors and if raised right a real people's snake.

Ash :)

Great questions!!!!!! I'm going to get a MD from next years hatchies - hoping to get one with the silver and black markings.

My partner has a Bredli that i bought him for his b'day last year - snappy in the enclosure but not so bad when hes out and being handled (although he snapped at my partners face the other day  ).

Hoping that with a tender hand and good handling my MD won't be like that!!!;)

If you pm me i can ask my breeder if he has any left.I am on Central Coast NSW

Ultimate Reptile Suppplies has some - i don't know their reliability - but i'm getting one from there. Juveniles.

They are awesome snakes. :D
Here's my girl, she's 14months. Got her from Vat69 last year, send her a PM and see if shes got any or will have any soon.
Bill.
