Hi everyone,
My family has a property down on the south coast where we are lucky enough to have Golden bell frogs live there in fairly large numbers (well, as large numbers as an endangered/vulnerable species can get but I have seen at least 20+ on some nights) and I noticed around the house we...
Hi everyone,
I'm fairly new to frogs I just had a couple of questions regarding eastern dwarf tree frog (L.Fallax) and whistling tree frogs (L.verreauxii). Firstly are they suitable for a beginner? Secondly what sort of care do they require? Also can they be kept together in a smallish terrarium...
I have a cabinet (so three side sealed wood, 1 side glass door) that is 80cm x 45cm x 30cm (high, wide, deep).
I would like to know what frog I can fit in this enclosure.
I will be putting UV etc in so the only constraint is the size.
Hey all.
I flew up to NSW last week for some herping around the Hunter Valley with a few mates.
After getting off the plane, we went for a poke around some spots in Newcastle.
First finds were a young Marsh Snake and She-oak Skink.

Hey guys,
So I'm keen to build a vivarium and hope to put some sort of frog in once I've finished.
The tank itself will be either 60x45x60 or 45x45x60 (lxwxh) and have a false bottom but include a pond area with which I hope to have a gentle waterfall running into and will use all live plants...
Hey all, Have been herping quite a bit around Melbourne recently. Few new species to add to the list which is always nice!
Enjoy the photos. :)

Hi,
I'm afraid I know nothing at all about frogs except that my local Tiger Snake friends really seem to like them! So I was wondering if anyone could tell me what these two species are. I found them both in a pond in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs today. Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Tim
I took a walk to the power-meter a couple of hours ago... And took my camera for the ride.
This little fella was on the roof inside my room. Just above the door.

Hello. I have been feeding maggots to my litoria fallax. I noticed that the next day the frog passed the dead maggot whole, seemingly undigested. It seemed quite a painful process. Is this normal?

Hi all ,
I am really interested in setting up a South Australian Group for people who have frogs as pets. If your interested please let me know. There was a FROGSA group , which I am not sure is still going. Ultimately I would love to set something up like FATS NSW or Victoria.
It would be...

So last night i took the chance to go herping to a spot close to where i live. My dad and i waited until it was dark when the frogs were readily calling. I heard the distinctive call of the Peron's Tree Frog (Litoria peronii) and managed to locate one on a tree. There was also another one we...
Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone can ID this little pretty one.

Don't have alot to show for the last couple weeks due to my broken down car, pretty disapointing too cause this is the best time of year for the more cryptic species. But here's what i have to share anyway.
No idea what this is...
Or this...
Or this disgusting creature! Had me dancing...
Well while you haven't seen a hundred threads, that doesn't mean I haven't been out frantically herping every night since my last thread. I've finally gotten some pictures of some snakes and a dodgy shot of a leaftail which I promised myself I would get before making this thread.
So here we go...
I've never kept frogs before.
The red-eyed looks amazing but is small! I like the size of the white-lipped.
I know you shouldn't handle frogs too much, but if possible I would like to occasionally.
The size of the terrarium is 45x45x60cm tall.
I'd like a pair of frogs, but not to...
Hey everyone,
I was wondering if Litoria Fallax were availible for sale in South Australia?
This is because i have just recently received been given a Fallax from the petshop!! Well i ask for it anyways.. The frog was originally a banana box frog and was given to the petshop from the fruitshop...
Usually winter is when I like to hibernate. There's not much to photograph in regards to insects or reptiles, and the water is too cold to go scuba diving (even though visibility is usually better in the colder months). But if you dig far enough, there's always something to photograph. There...
Is it actually legal anywhere to keep these?
I would think not as they're exotic and they're pests, but I'm curious, because they get big and I like the idea of a big Anuran.
this little guy was found in the produce section hiding in some buk choy! i don't think he planned on being put in a refrigerated case and becoming a frogsicle! so i took him home and let him go in the garden:)
Been trying to buy Litoria gracilenta for ages but they are so hard to come across so was wondering if anyone knew where I may be able to get hold of a few Litoria fallax?
Any help will be greatly appreciated
My lovely friends who live in southern costal NSW took these pictures :)

I have some Sedge Frogs (Litoria Fallax) in my mixed frog enclosure, one of them changes from time to time. It started out as bright green and has turned up as a dark navy green/motley purple.
Is this a sign of sexual maturity (they're adult size) or just a survival technique.
Hi All,
We are currently holidaying on the "Sunny" Gold Coast. The other night, my young daughter found this frog and we are assuming it is a Green Tree Frog (sorry, I'm very new to Frogs).
I am just wondering if someone could identify the species of Green Tree Frog that it is.
Thanks in...
Wanted to buy, Dwarf tree frogs, prefer litoria fallax, but will consider other species of dwarf frog. I want 3 or 4 and would prefer local Sydney seller or at least NSW. PM me if you have some available, thanks. :D
I'm very keen on adding frogs to my collection, would love a colony of a small species so just wondering whats available to the average keeper? I would love some kind of froglet or toadlet if they are available. Failing that what small tree frogs are in the hobby, i quite like the little sedge...
