After getting off the plane, we went for a poke around some spots in Newcastle.

So here we go...
Well the frogs have been out and calling through the garden at my place and the Velvet geckos have started coming out on the walls, so I have been taking plenty of pictures. I decided for those who haven't seen them I would put a thread up here, I hope you enjoy.

A huge thunderstorm hit the Windorah area on the afternoon as we approached from the south. Flash floods cut the road for awhile in the afternoon until the water levels dropped once again. We arrived late so we weren't delayed but we could see debris on the road. There were pools on the sides...
As some of you may know, on the east coast around Sydney last night it was hot and humid. So, as storms threatened, we jumped in my car and headed North in search of the elusive green thighed frog Litoria brevipalmata (as well as some others).
Although I didn't photograph every frog we found...
