    Hanging out

A tree hollow about ten feet up provides a perfect habitat for a Bar sided skink to snatch passing insects and retreat back to safety. This year I am watching the second generation occupying the same spot and similar ones on the same tree. Beware of dragons. A lovely little Perons...

    snake and other pets

I am interested to know what level of interaction your snakes and other pets have. My cat stays well away from the snakes. My dog does not seem as intelligent and tries to lick them. Usually I am standing with my snakes, so this isn't so much an issue, unless one of them decides to duck their...

For my next reptile purchase, I'm thinking of getting an Eastern Water Skink and a Perons Tree Frog, and having them live together in a very large fish tank, that includes a small fish pond and lots of plants. Can anyone ID this frog??

We found this frog after heavy rain, in Avenel (15km north Seymour, Vic). My Field guide key suggests it to be Litoria tyleri, however its distribution doesn't come this far south. Would it more likely be a Litoria peronii?? Any thoughts?? Greatly appreciated
