So just after Christmas I spent several weeks in the arid inland around Alice Springs and Yulara. I managed to find a few herps to take pictures of and thought I'd post them up here. Unfortunately flickr has recently changed how images are copied into forum threads (Making it much harder) and...
Looking at keeping a pair of Geckos :)
I love how they look and really want to keep one. What would be a good one to start with? I want something that is cheap and easy to maintain. What do you think would be a good species to keep? would prefer something that requires very little maintenance...
I'm moving house in about a week (17th) - about a 900k trip. Probably stop overnight somewhere about half way.
I'm just wondering if I should feed my Pythons before I go... Or should i wait as the travel may cause them to regurge their meals?
Keeping in mind one is due for a feed on the 14th...

Hey,
I'm hopefully getting a new reptile enclosure it's a bank of four 2-3ft wide enclosures by the looks of the picture.
I'm just wondering what I could get to put in there open to all suggestions but it has to be able to live in there at adult size.
thanks in advance :)

It's obvious these days that the popularity contest when it comes to animals leans towards the money makers and up-and-coming colour phases. As a result of the trends, many species are forgotten or pushed aside and some left alone due to dull colouration, complexity of captive maintenance and...

Well I recently met up with Dr. Mark Hutchinson, a herpetologist that works in the science area of the SA Museum. He took me through some of the specimen collections but I was obviously more interested in the reptiles.
Here's a few photos I took and these have been posted with full...
To feed Rocket's obsession, here's a couple of pics of my Laevissimus pair. The male is an absolute stunner, the female is the fattest exercise-addict I've ever known. She spends all day trying to dig to china and she's still plump!

Hey
One of my females hadn't been out for a while so I took this couple of quick snap shots. She is a virgin & I decided not to breed with her this season past.
Hello again,
the pictures I posted last night were pretty popular and I received a couple of PMs asking if I had any more. I did take another few, a couple were very similar and three or four were in pretty bad focus, but these two aren't terrible.
Joy Lizard, Nephrurus levis...
Here's a happy little Joy Lizard, I took these this evening and thought they were worth posting.
Someone will probably ask what colour it is, so I'll post this one as well.
Hope they were worth the bandwidth ;)

I was just looking at the Qld Controlled / Commercial / Recreational / Restricted / International animals lists to make sure we could keep Nephrurus Amyae here. Much to my amazement they are a commercial animal. How do they come up with this stuff? Nephrurus laevissimus are also commercial, a...

Hi People,
I have just been on the phone to the E.P.A to get clarification on these new laws that have come in in Qld, and I got a bit of a shock from my enquiry.
I was under the impression that in Qld, when you sold an animal to an interstate buyer, you filled out a movement advice...
