Hi everyone,
I have a "man-cave" at home that also appears to be the residence of several species of reptile.
I have seen plenty of Skinks, and also what I believe to be Broad-Tailed Geckos. There is also plenty of poop around. It's on the walls and also the floor. I have attached pics of...
After recently receiving a new asper and taking the usual photos I have found what appears to be mites around the top of the eyes, what treatments are there to deal with mites around the eyes as most information is on snakes. I will post a picture up in the next day or so (hopefully) but in the...

Just past vincentia, driving along the road and I saw a diamond python.
Would have been about 5-6ft nice dark classic south Nsw types...anyways long story short I wanted to move it off the road and a few hundred meters down the road to bush...
I spent the last couple nights doing a bit of frogging in my local area, haven't found much it's been quite dry and no real reptile activity on the road yet. Thought I would post some pictures of the frogs that have started calling.

My parents are visiting and are describing a lizard they find at their house. We are trying to figure out what it is. They live in the Sutherland shire in Sydney. They find them most commonly climbing brick walls. They can change colour and squeal if picked up. They have a diamond on their head...
I'm looking at getting a pair of geckos soon and was considering a pair of leaf tails. Can anyone who keeps them shed some light as to what they're like to care for? What are their requirements, etc.
Also, who breeds them and approx what a hatchling pair would set me back?
Cheers:)
Well over the past few months I've been doing a fair bit of herping over lots of NSW and taken a fair few photos. I thought I'd culminate it all into one thread as it makes it a nice larger thread. Lots of the stuff I saw I didn't photograph being time sensitive and it being stuff I had seen or...

Well while you haven't seen a hundred threads, that doesn't mean I haven't been out frantically herping every night since my last thread. I've finally gotten some pictures of some snakes and a dodgy shot of a leaftail which I promised myself I would get before making this thread.
So here we go...
I've not seen any yet and don't know if there is a population of geckos in my area.
I hold out hope that I'm only not seeing them because they are very shy and make themselves scarce as soon as I open either the front or back doors to go outside.
Would love to have some geckos hanging about...
After complaining on every threat of someone herping and actually finding stuff, i can now saw i have too. But this week end i wasn't even trying.
On Saturday mum called me to tell me there were 3 green tree snakes curled up in a tree (i think they were mating) at the netball courts and they...
I was looking at my reptile books and it says thier are broard tailed geckos that live in NSW and another book says thier is southern leaf tailed geckos in NSW, just wondering if anyone knows the difference between the two species and if you have any pics feel frre to share :)

Gday Folks

Thanks

I have a Broad Tail with a Hemipenal Prolapse, any ideas on what to do will be gratefully accepted , i know if i handle him it'll squeal its head off and probably throw its tail.
Hey everyone, just wondering if someone could give a quick run down on keeping geckos, and what's need. Also what kinda prices you'd expect to pay for beginner geckos
Thanks

Jeroen, a grad student from the Netherlands, visited me over the weekend. I took him up to Royal NP yesterday. It was a hot day so we did not see a great deal in the open but we did enconter a few interesting animals. The coast walk at Royal is one of my favourites due to its exceptional...
Last night Jason and I went herping at a couple of different sites in the Lower Blue Mountains area of Western Sydney. We were hoping to see Broad Tailed Geckos, Diamond Pythons, Adders and Broad Headed Snakes. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side with constant rain and only 26 degrees...
