I've just been going through some old photos and I came across this one. I thought I would post it as I know how much everyone loves and Id thread.
The photo was taken in the Pilbara region.
Hi all,
After a brief hiatus I'm going to try and post a little more, upload more stuff to flickr and my other site (that i'm not allowed to have in my signature), or, in the very least, catch up and write up a few of the field herping threads that should have gone up here and there.
I...
Just want to make sure we have ID this little guy properly, we have never seen one before out here.
Photo was just taken out in Muttaburra, north of Longreach in central QLD. We are pretty sure he is a Ringed Brown Snake - Pseudonaja modesta.
Hello!
Can a kind soul help me identify what kind of snake this is. I encountered her in South Australia near Ceduna from memory on the gateway to the Nullabor if that helps.

Hi all!
I am from the Netherlands, and I have a big interest in Aussie Elapids. But for me it is pretty difficult to find some good info on some of your species. So I hoped that people over here can tell me something of the next animals in captive and wild conditions...

Mallee - Gluepot, SA (DUW)
A few weeks ago I was up at Gluepot reserve helping some mates with their honours projects on lizards. Gluepot is owned by Birds Australia who manage the property for it's unique bird fauna - with endangered mallee fowl and black eared miners mostly in mind, however...
G'day guys,
I know there are several people here interested in Brown Snakes (Pseudonaja sp) that may not have access to some of the academic work that has recenly being published on their taxonomy by Adam Skinner from SA uni/museum.
I've just read the paper, and thought I would summarise it...
Hamelin Pool is located at the southern end of Shark Bay and is not far west of the Coastal Highway. This site is best known for its stromatolites. These formations vaguely resemble coral but are produced by cyanobacteria. They are thought to be one of the earliest forms of life and were...
