I've run out of options in Perth trying to hunt either of these - can anyone help me out even if it's just someone to ask if they know someone - also I read what I can find but care sheets doing very often mention down falls - I be only too glad to hear if they are hard to keep like stress...
keen on either a turtle but not longneck -Monitor - Dragon - Equlies - legless lizard - small snake up to about 40cm - something I can see and not real hard to look after - the biggest problem I see is they are near impossible to buy - I like them all but any help would be greatly appriciated...

I have been looking for the QLD species list today to find out if Varanus caudolineatus are allowed under a standard recreational license, I am almost certain they are, however after the numerous departmental name changes that have occured in recent years I can't find the list for QLD anymore...
Hi,
Been reading up on these guys and from what iv found they have been observed in the wild to be more arboreal in nature than gilleni and inhabit almost the same type of environment yet NSW NPWS have deemed them to not be a climbing monitor on their COD.
Although Dr Danny Browns book (aus...
Hey,
Guys an Lady's I have been looking for a better source of heating, in the past I have Used Exotera globes, I have found they keep blowing every 2-3 weeks wich is rather costly, when I had a carpet we used a milo tin and adapted standard light fitting in, this worked really well. Problem was...
Hi Guys no doubt most of you have heard that/had a chance to review the DSE's recently released RIS (Regulatory Impact Statement). It is a utter disappointment that the submissions for new gecko species: Nephrurus wheeleri, Oedura filicipoda, Saltuarius cornutus and Carphodactylus laevis have...

What is the smallest monitor besides akies. I currently have 2 sand goannas in my 4x2x2 tank but I'm getting rid of them because that is obviously to small for them. Oh and the monitor has to love the whole desert, sand, burrow thing because that is what the tank is like and I wouldn't want to...
Hi,
I am new to the site................
I am about to make the move to Australia. As part of this move i have had to sell my entire collection of reptiles here in the UK of nearly 100 pythons and boas. That said i am looking forward to continuing my hobby in Oz and i would appreciate some...
So not so long ago I was over in WA for a bit more than two weeks. The trip was with my family celebrating my finishing school and was primarily with the aim of finding as many geckos as possible.
We started off in Perth where I got to see a couple new species for me, both little brown...
Hi Everyone.
Just got back from a trip up to Mt Gould (NW of Meekatharra) with a mate.
Turned out to be a good trip, even though the first 2 days we had rain and that I was sick as can be for more than half the time we were up.
It is still a bit cool up there at the moment, unfortunately we...
What’s in it for the other States?
When reptile keeping became legal in WA nearly 10 years ago a large number of animals were able to be exported to the other states of Australia.
Animals such as:
Pilbara Stimson pythons
Wheatbelt Stimson Pythons
Pilbara Woma’s
Pilbara BHP’s
Kimberley BHP’s...
Once again my plans have been put on hold thanks to the damn mother and child in our house...SO I have just been informed I can no longer have a python in the house (in case it escapes and eats everyone at 30cm long )....I did buy an ExoTerra 900x450x450 enclosure but now can't put...
Not sure if I'm allowed to do this, but is there anyone who has Varanus caudolineatus for sale? Especially if they're in WA, but if I have to I'll pay the import fee.
Why are there so many people selling WA snakes over east and none selling in WA? How come you guys can get our snakes but we can't have yours? Can I get one from you if its originally from here? Doubt it. I have only find a couple of reptile-only sellers from WA (minus pet shops) with very...
My husband and I are moving to WA, but I have just been told by Domestic Quarantine that my Bredli Python, Grinner, isn't allowed into WA.
Is this right? Is there no way that I can bring my much loved pet into WA? The man on the phone told me "Well atleast you know now and have time to give him...
Wanted! Been looking into these guys a long with a lot of others for a long time now.

Thanks. Vince.

I was thinking that maybe we need a sticky thread on what can & cannot be kept in each state and on what licence. Also perhaps what is required for each state to import/export to other states????
After having ackies for a little while as my 1st monitor like most people do,
now i've decided i'd like something a bit larger eventually leading up to lacies or perenties.
So, I'd like a little help on deciding and i'm sure alot of other people would be interested in also knowing

Well it's been a while since I've stomped the ground around these forums and as many of you may remember I'm a goanna-lover to the core. I've kept 7 species all up, was fortunate enough to have bred 1 species and a female of another species threw a dud clutch of eggs due to...
