2 macs together in one tank

i have two macs both around the same size and age... one is male and one is female... just wondering if its safe for them to stay in the same tank perminatly or only when they are ready to mate? i know there is alot of ppl asking about two snakes in one tank but couldnt find any one asking about macs? cheers for any help

u can i keep 4 together at the moment but i really wouldn`t recomend it

I have kept a male Mac and a female Stimson of the same size together for many years. I keep them warm in winter to prevent fertility and feed separately to prevent fights.

It can be done but I personally would never take the risk, Ive heard stories where people have come home to find one eating the other and that kills them both, Antaresia can be cannibalistic.
