2006 Frog Festival Celebrating National Frog Week
Saturday 11th November 10 am - 10 pm
Sunday 12th November 10 am – 4 pm
Amphibian Research Centre, Werribee
Come celebrate national frog week at the world’s largest frog conservation centre. Thousands of frogs including endangered species never before displayed to the public will be on show. There will be tours of the ARC visitor and education centre, the ARC threatened frog breeding facilities as well as talks on frog calls, frog gardening, and why amphibians are amazing. Discussion forums with leading scientists and frog vets will give you a chance to ask all those tricky questions on topics including keeping frogs, frog medicine, declining frogs and more. On top of that there will be games for the kids, frogs, books, posters, enclosures and other froggy items for sale and a display of frog photographic art (some also for sale). To top it off there will be a Victorian Frog Group meeting with talks and an auction on Saturday evening followed by a night tour of the ARC.
