General Description
This boy is small for his age due to being a troubled feeder.
He will only take weaner sized rats after 1st having a few Adult mice.
The best way Ive found to get him feeding, is to remove all his hides, let him know that there is a feed on offer by tapping him on the nose with a mouse.
Once he fires up with his huff and puff dance, put 4 to 6 adult mice and 2 to 4 wearner rats in his enclosure (all at once), then leave him alone. If he can see you he will just continue with his huff and puff dance.
Come morning the rodents are always gone (at odd times there may be 1 or 2 left over, but most of the time he eats the lot). I only feed him every 2nd week, in the late evening.
He is a little flighty, but does not know how to bite.
Even when tapping him on the nose with a mouse, he will just headbutt (he has never bitten).
There are photos of him on my profile, in my BHP album (his name is Oscar)
He is the brother of the Axanthic female ''Alexis'' (also in BHP album)
Due to his feeding patterns and his genetics,
He would suit an experianced keeper wanting to get into this line or that is alreay working with Axanthics.
