Its been raining. Alot. That's good for damn levels, flushing stagnant creeks, making plants grow etc but my lawn has come into a world of its own. Its been maybe 3 weeks since my mower last met the back yard. Today there was no rain so the mower came to life. 2 hours, 3 tanks of petrol and 33 catchers full of clippings. That's right. 33. That's some good growth. Did i mention its been raining. Alot.

I feel your pain ...... my partner has a flourishing vegie garden with some beautiful yellow zucchini this year. One day they're finger sized and we blink twice and they're big enough to put John Holmes to shame.
And.... the grassed area at the side of the house had to first be mowed on the highest setting and then on the "3" setting we usually use.
I'd rather this than a barren wasteland.

Dude that's epic. How big is your property? How many times did you have to stop for beer?

Hahaha! i feel your pain!!! I mowed 2 weeks ago and this week I had to start on a high setting and then i thought id cut it on 2 (we do 3 most of the time but im over mowing every 2 weeks!) Lets see if that makes a difference!!!

Our mower dude comes fortnightly on thursday's. Every thursday it rains!!!! Today is the perfect example! its pouring. so each week my grass gets longer and longer. havent seen the dogs for a week now, pretty sure they are still in there somewhere!

hahahaha all i picture is these lil wet noses poking up through the grass like on one of those cartoons where all u see is the black dogs nose bouncing up an down on the other side of the white fence haha.. classic!!

on a different note.. i luv the smell of fresh cut grass.. Mmmmm :p

I only have a whipper snipper so have to do the entire lawn with that- come out with green legs and feet which are speckled with little red dots from debris :) Yes I could wear jeans, but thats hot! lol. I hadn't done the grass all that long ago, but whilst being focused on my uni graduation etc, somehow it all sprouted to be about waist height once again.

It kind of always amazes me how quickly grass can recover after the dry season

my dad is the groundsman at a high school he starts mowing, by the time he finishes its time to start again. Grass grows fast in Tassie :p

LMAO! every now and then youll see that grass rustle (like in the movies when the corn fields start moving) and next thing you know there is a dog bounding at you!! I pity any body that tries to break in, it'd be like something out of a bad horror movie!
