Ok - for all you SMS hotshots out there, how about giving me a list of the abbreviations you use when posting? I'll set up the word censor to translate it into plain old English, so that us old fogies can understand what you're talking about.

Do it in this format :

g r 8 = great
m 8 = mate
etc
:wink:

What about making them use a keyboard and type the whole word, that extra letter per word may build up their finger muscles so they can crawl out of bed in the morning. :roll:

Some common abbreviations from the forums;
tx = thanks
ur = you are
ur = your
btw = by the way
IMO = in my opinion

How about us ''oldies'' change with the times and follow the new lingo rather then the new change to the old? As the saying goes the only thing that never changes is change itself. Just my 3 cents worth.

Roger, over and out squadron leader, everythings gone snafu.
Wheres my frame and slippers?
zzzzzzzzzzz

Makes you wonder how half these kids make it through school...

And I'm only 17!

LOL! and ROFL! I've never done these abbreviations through SMS! Only on MSN or Yahoo Messenger! Makes it a bit easier to type sometimes hey? Quicker that is! Cheers Cheryl

You young whippersnippers! No respect, I say! If it was good enough for grandad, it's good enough for these youngsters! [mutter, mutter, mutter] :evil:

:wink:
