i recieved an accie yesterday, i am just wondering what is the average growth rate of an accie. and how long until they are fully grown.

cheers

Damien

I've had mine for 8 months, I think she's 10 months old.
I don't know the rate, but she is now a little thicker than my index finger and a little longer than the distance between the bottome of my palm and the tip of my middle finger.
Keep in mind i have thin fingers and small hands.
I'll measure her for you later if you want xD

Reptile Boy - Ackies will grow as fast as you feed them - the more they are fed and warmer they are kept the quicker they will grow...in the states Ackies are grown to a breeding size within six months. My personal opinion is that this is probably not incredibly healthy for the animal, however, it demonstrates that their growth rate is highly variable...

DragonKeeper - I would suggest feeding your Ackies a lot more, that seems quite small for a 10mth old Ackie...

Really? wow. I feed her as much as she wants, I only stop when she does.

You wouldn't happen to know the average length and weight of a 10 month old would you?

Dragonkeeper - I see you have created a new thread regarding the size of your Ackie where you say she is 2.5cm wide, here you say she is a little wider than your index finger (which you describe as small)...

...if she is marginally wider than your small fingers she is too small...

...if she is 2.5cms wide she is fine...
