Enrolments are closing soon for the:
"Advanced Reptile - Python, Lizard and Turtle Care" course at Richmond NSW TAFE.

Presented by specialist amphibian and reptile teachers, topics covered include:

Taxonomy and species identification
Husbandry
Housing
Environmental enrichment
Diet, nutrition and feeding
Clinical health
Handling, restraint and transportation
Snakebite first aid and treatment
Legislation, licensing and record keeping.

The course runs for 3 consecutive Monday evenings from 6.00 - 9.00pm
Commencing October 11 2010 and costs just $205.

Applicants MUST HAVE previously completed TAFE's "Basic Reptile & Amphibian Care" course (or equivalent) to apply.

This course is a pre-requisite for Richmond Colleges other courses:
Advanced Reptile - Venomous Snake & Crocodile Care and
Advanced Reptile - Field Surveys

wow our hobby is moving forward, i remember when i started out it was all trial and error because the only people who kept reptiles kept all the info to themselves.

but that was 20 years ago, and the only way to get experiance was to join a wildlife group like WIRES or ARC like i did.
