Hi All
Ok my son has a stimson python we got her for christmas and she is doing well
she is in a glass tank 800x500x450 and we have styofoam all around the tank to keep the warmth in(it's on the outside) her normal temp seems to be aroud 31.8 but the thermostat and thermometer are in the middle( warmer if i move it to the hot end.)
she has just had her 1st birthday and has had 3 feeds with us so far with only one hiccup,
first week after her feed she didnt do a poo only a wee ( white chalky stuff ) so the next week we gave her two fuzzys and she has been fine since she did get the last poo all over the side of her tank but thats ok.
so far we have not done a big clean (empty the substrate) i have done her too hides every week and water bowl every day
Im still a little in the dark about what to use we have herpa care disinfectant but when we got her tank im not sure that i was ment to wipe dry or wash it out (only wiped it dry) and also with misting the cage how often do i do it and what end hot or cool or both she has been a little quite the last too nights but she is looking a bit dull and think she is getting ready to shed ( last feed was thursday night) any tips would be great thank you ;)

F10 is the number 1 choice in disinfectant for aussie reptile keepers. It can be purchased from the Herp Shop. It comes highly concentrated and 1 bottle will last you a lifetime considering you have only one snake, though it does have an expiry date so I'd expect you'll see that date pass before you see an empty bottle.

You shouldn't need to mist a Stimmies cage, not even when they coming up to a shed, but it depends on the substrate your using. I would recommend offering a hide box with damp sphagnum moss in preference to misting.
