To all you Australian Herpetological Society members,

The Christmas Party is on tomorrow (Sunday) December 4 at the Australian Reptile Park, Somersby. Commencing from 11am.

Just present your membership card for free entry.

See you there :D

Jonny

Is it a case of if you are not a member you are not welcome? What if somone like myself was interested in becoming a memeber and meeting a few people in the herp society?

Yeah.

Hey everyone, the AHS is a great society & by no means would exclude anyone, all johnny was doing was giving a heads up to members.I will ring the president in the morning to confirm, but im sure if you turned up to the park to join the AHS this wouldnt be a problem.Make certain to look here in the morning for confirmation, but im pretty confident it would be the more the merrier. :D

Cheers popp

Sorry Jonny and Popp. I didn't mean to sound rude. My apologies. Cheers, Lily

Hey Lily,Knowing jonny & the AHS & seeing he hadnot replied i thought id try make it clearer.I didnt take it in any other way other than seeking info,so no need for apologies. They are a great group & welcome everyone & i doubt that would change even at a chrissy party.I will ring at 7am & post his reply here b4 7:30am.Sorry if i came over a bit short,i dont do long but  ,but id say bring an esky & look forward to a good day.I will be there so now you have a better reason to come ;).

Cheers popp.

Thanks Popp and Jonny I wasnt attempting to be a smarty pants either just wondering if it would be ok to attend and meet a few people and join. I will definatly check in the morning for confirmation.

Thanks
Brett

Hi everyone interested,i have rang the presedent of the AHS & as suspected it is open to everyone, apparently there will be quite a few herp societies there today.Sounds like it will be a big day, hope to see a few of you there.

Cheers popp

Last year there were close to 150 herpers from about 10 different societies at the park, so if you wanted to meet herpers, today is the day to visit!

I'm surprised nobody has posted yet on how good the day was - fantastic weather! I arrived late so only saw a few people, but got onto the last Behind-the-Scenes tour. very enjoyable day and a chance to catch up with old friends.

And I had to include this. Anyone who knows a bit baout birds may get a kick out of it. AQuite a large sign, too, which makes it even funnier. The scientific name is a mystery to me though.

VERY funny. And I get stressed every time I submit a post with a comma missing or a tiny spelling error!

And so you should, young lady! The last thing we want round ere are mispeld postes!

Am I being issued with my first "warning" for incorrect grammar/spelling/punctuation? EEK!

Considering the grammar/spelling/punctuation of some of our regular (and prolific) contributors, I'd say you've got nothing to worry about Reptililian. There are occasionally posts that I can't decipher, and some that just make no sense whatsoever!
