i love that albino bluetongues have pink tongues, they wouldnt last long in the wild would they..im looking for one ..the locals say they have been seeing a white lizard for a few years,on the backbeach here, but i think its more urban myth

Can't say that they do much for me, but that link has a great explanation of the different colour traits of albino, hypo, hyper, malanistic and Leucistic.

Recomende read for all

you wouldn't happen to live in sunny frankston  snakeman as i too have looked for this lizard and came up with nothing but normals :(

They look so delicate.

I'd have one, because I agree, they wouldn't last long in the wild.
Beautiful monitor, I'd have that too :)

:D Good business the ''coloured bluetongue rackett" ime told by the manufacturer that the "paint" will not run even if the lizard is kept outdoors. My blotchies are guaranteed against peeling, cracking and crazing.I will not honour the warranty if the lizards are kept close to a sprinkler system.

Those albinos were from ARP but Im told they now reside in Arizona in a reptile park there.

Back in the early 1990's the ARP collected an adult albino bluey from someones yard. It had survived to adulthood without problems from predators. I believe this specimen was to be bred with another they already had. This was shown on Totally Wild. Totally Wild also had a segment once on an albino death adder that was removed from a yard.

I own some albino blueys.

Nice animals

A couple of pics would be good Brodes, I reckon albinos look awesome no matter what type of herp they are. Pity albino monitors are so rare though.
