hi there im going to look at a pair of 100% het darwins this weekend to buy....they are 4 yrs never bred the seller is want $1300 for the pair is that a bit expencive coz i have seen younger ones for like $150 any help will be appreciated.

If they are 100% proven breeders that you can see prof or offspring etc that maybe not to bad.

they are 4 yrs never bred

If they had breed and had Albinos then yea it would be about right but with no proof of off spring I'd be cautious of the het thing unless I new the person very well.

They're HET, not albino. I'd say you're paying about $1000 too much.

If I was in that position I would be adding another $100-$300 and getting a pair of Albinos.. As Mayo said above you have to be cautious when buying hets especially with a price tag like that.

It would depend on pattern/colour, they could look fantastic.

they were bred buy a guy ramsayi she bought them off him 4yrs ago i have seen the convo's between them they look like typical darwins nothing special. what do u think the going rate is for em if its not $650 a piece lol cheers

extra few hundred and just get some young albinos you cant be sure there hets you cant even be sure there a pair

Im not sure on the price but I can say Ramsayis albinos are some of the best around imo

Albino pairs go for cheaper than that. Why do you want a pair. Spend the cash on a het and an albino.

thats why i want the 100% hets to get albinos out of em. could go buy 2 albino hatchies but dont want to wait 3 yrs to breed em.

It all comes down to what makes you happy. If you have the cash, like the snakes and will be happy with paying the money, then do it. If you're not going to be happy spending that much then wait for a pair that is exactly what you want.
I went to the illawarra expo on the weekend with cash to buy some snakes, found some almost like what I wanted, decided to wait and picked up exactly what I wanted yesterday.
I have also spent crazy amounts of money for snakes I wanted, others would call me crazy but I liked the snakes much more than I liked the cash so it was a good buy.
I guess you have to consider as well, if you are buying hets to get albino hatchies, then maybe just buying albino hatchies instead is a good idea.

If they are from ramsayi, Im not saying she is but people use a well known persons to flog off snakes this happend to me recently but when they couldnt prove they were from X breeder I had to pull out just check paper work movement advice, record book ect
