Amphibian Naivety

Call me naive when it comes to Aussie amphibians, but I didn't think there were any Australian Poison Dart Frog species and that they were a South American Exotic.

Can someone set me right with this info cos I found this for sale ad.

No, they are not native to Australia. But the claims of poison due to eating specifis ants are true. I don't think any should be in Australia

I knew of how the poison was distilled. it didn't just come from ants from my understanding but all manner of insects and arachnids. I just wasn't sure if there was an Australian Species, as the only species I knew of was a South American variety, but I also thought of the possibility of a species developed here at the time of tectonic plate movement, which apparently coincides with some of the Aussie frog species.
