I've just been going through some old photos and I came across this one. I thought I would post it as I know how much everyone loves and Id thread.

The photo was taken in the Pilbara region.

I stand corrected , did not know they can occur without the bands

How did you differentiate it from Pseudonaja affinis?
 
mendgeni (the only other Pseudonaja in the pilbara) don't have a pale line between the eye and nostril (this is present in modesta) also the shape of the snout in different.

aspidoryncha is no where near the pilbara

Too true. I was expecting to catch a few more people out with it having a reduced banding pattern. Scott quickly nipped that in the bud :D
