I have 4 Green tree Frogs which I am finding it hard to have a great looking environment for them and keeping it clean. I find that if I let crickets go in their enclosure they hide in anything. What do you do to keep the enclosure clean as I do not have the time to be cleaning it out all the time as the frogs - (which I had no idea frog poo smells that much) - enclosure stinks most of the time. I am getting to the stage of maybe selling them. Can anyone give some advice?

If you cool the crix in the fridge prior to feeding (a few minutes), that will slow them down long enough for the frogs to eat them before they escape and hide. Failing that, if you dont feed them they dont poo, and then you dont have to clean as often (maybe every week or two to remove the dead frogs).

Hey Olivehydra I am sure a few organisations may have a few things to say if I take your advice, good try but!! Ha, ha, ha

If you want a great looking enclosure for frogs that stays clean, you really need a fully filtered tank with say 20cm of filtered water in it. I had one set up a few years ago with under gravel filtration and it worked a treat. set up with logs and live plant, though frogs need to be hand fed as the bugs will get away. These days I opt for the very simple, very plain looking tank, cleaning twice a week.

I have 1GTF in a 2 ft tank with 2 juvenile macquarii. I have approx 15 - 20 cm of water with a second level set up including branches for the frog. I am currently using a Fluval 101 filter that I clear twice a week and the actual tank water gets changed weekly. And best of all, it doesn't smell at all.

We have frogs in a tank....they just have pebbles on the floor....hides (pipeing) couple of big rocks...and a log. All frogs are fed via tweezers. Water bowl is changed every day with fresh filtered water. You don't have to clean it out too often.Hot mat under water in winter.Frogs get about two big cockies a week each.
