anyone freighting from brisbane

Just after someone who might be traveling from brisbane towards port macquarie in the near future as i need a couple of snakes brought down. The breeder does not freight so im trying to organise my own. Any help would be much appreciated. Anyone know if hobbo still transports reptiles these days.

Contact a road-courier called Dog Movers. Regardless of the name they freight all kinds of animals from Brisbane to Melbourne and to Canberra. They charged me $65 to ship a hatchling and I was more than happy that they took very good care of my snake. He was secure, couldn't fall. I recommend them as another freight service.

Are Dog Movers a door to door service ? Or do you have to drop off/pick up from a depot ?

i use fastways- overnight road transport, animals marked clearly as live freight and never any problems. they do door to door delivery.
Hobbo out of business yrs ago as far as i know.

I am pretty sure they would drop off at your door. They don't have depots as far as I know. They will arrange it with you, to meet them at an easy-find landmark in your town as close to you as possible. I had to go and meet them at Macca's in town, but that was nothing. And they rang me an hour before they were due to arrive to let me know when they expected to reach our town.
Talk about great service, friendly, and your animals I believe are in good hands.

Sadly, Hobbo doesn't do it anymore. I was there with him on his final run.

swampie i called dog movers today and they said they will meet at a meeting point on the highway from brisbane or sunshine coast in the evening and they will arive here the next morning out on the highway which is only five mins from home. Not bad for $70 i reackon. Thanx kathy
