ATARs and HSC results

I hope all of the year 12 students on the forum are pleased with their results from yesterday and today (in NSW). We are bursting with pride in my house because my son got 99.65 and joint dux of his high school! I have told him we are bragging to the entire world, so this is a big part of that widespread bragging.

He wants to be one of the guys from Big Bang Theory, but with better social skills.. He is heading for an honours program in physics at the ANU. Fortunately, that ATAR will get him the scholarship he (we) needs.

Darlyn - Unfortunately research physicists make a decent living, but nothing extraordinary. We will have to count on our savings in our retirement or perhaps rely on our daughter who just got a leading role in a school musical. With luck and hard work, she may become a famous and well-paid actress!
